TYPE: Hike | PACE: Fitness/Conversational | TERRAIN: Dirt trail, hills | DISTANCE: 4 miles
Walk Description: Join us two Fridays a month for an invigorating hike in the beautiful North Boulder County foothills! Please note that location and times for each hike will vary.
Our first hike is the Eagle Wind Trail, a loop trail located at Rabbit Mountain Open Space, that features beautiful wild flowers and views of the foothills, plains and Longs Peak. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on leash. There is a pit toilet at the trailhead, but be sure to bring your own water.
Schedule, Transit and Planning: Meet at the Rabbit Mountain Open Space Parking Lot. We will begin our hike at 9 am, ending about 11 am. Please remember to sign and submit our Welcome Waiver online if you have not yet done so this calendar year. You can also print and sign the form and turn it in at the beginning of the hike.
Walking Movement Leader: Christine Magnarella Ray returned to Boulder County a year ago after a 20-year hiatus. She loves taking in the natural beauty of the Rockies and the Plains – exploring Colorado by foot, bike,or boat.
