TYPE: W&T | PACE: Conversational | TERRAIN: Sidewalk, paved multi-use path, hiking trail | DISTANCE: Approx. 4 miles
Walk Description: Join us for this pop-up, last minute walking experience to connect with cross-country walker, Andrew Forsthoefel to hear about his journey, what he learned, and his new book, “Walking to Listen” which you can purchase here.
Schedule and Planning: We will meet in front of Alfalfa’s just before 6:00 pm. We’ll meet just outside of the main entrance ~ take transit, bike, walk to location ~ if driving, you will need to park in neighborhood not in lot. We’ll do a brief introduction with one another and with Andrew and we’ll get walking soon after. We’ll walk the creek past the library and will do a quick hike up Red Rocks Trail and back down through Mapleton Avenue and through town. Please bring comfortable layers and wear sturdy shoes in case we encounter mud.
Walking Movement Leader: Jonathon Stalls is the Founder (and Member-Owner) of Walk2Connect and has also completed a cross-country walking adventure.
~ Dogs are welcome, but please make sure they are well behaved and on a 6 ft leash or shorter.
~ Dress comfortably for the weather, bring sun protection and water, and anything else you need to stay comfortable outside.
Cancellation Policy: This event will take place regardless of the weather, unless there is a major snowstorm, excessive ice or other dangerous weather. Check Meetup or text the walk leader for the most up-to-date conditions.
