TYPE: STSP | PACE: Gentle/Conversational | TERRAIN: Dirt trail, paved multi-use path | DISTANCE: Approximately 3 miles |
Walk Description: Stroll the McIntosh Lake Loop, a flat gentle loop around one of Longmont’s prettiest lakes. This is a family-friendly stroll. Please bring the kids, grandparents, grownups … whoever would like to join in.
Schedule, Transit and Planning: We will meet at 4:00 p.m. We leave NO LATER than 4:10 p.m. and will finish no later than 6 p.m. Meet at Dawson Park on the SE corner of the park, at the corner of Harvard St and Lakeshore Dr.
Walking Movement Leader: Lyn Simuns has lived in the Longmont area for over 20 years and loves to be able to walk around town.
~ Well-behaved dogs are allowed. No retractable leashes, please.
~ Wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
~ Bring water, snacks and sun protection.
~ Consider bringing a camera to take and share photos.
Cancellation Policy: Should a cancellation be required, it will be posted as soon as possible.
Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online “Welcome Waiver” or download, print, sign, and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience this year.

The Colorado-based Walk2Connect Cooperative works with individuals and organizations to create innovative walking programs focused on connecting to others, to place and to self. Our Boulder community, Boulder Ramblers, offers a variety of local walks and hikes led by trained volunteer Walking Movement Leaders in Boulder, Longmont and Louisville. We also partner with GO Boulder to develop walking events that orient community members to the city’s pedestrian facilities and invite feedback about them. All over Colorado, W2C principals and trained volunteer Walking Movement Leaders lead dozens of free community walks every week.

Program [PRGM]: Outcome-directed walks that may include: hosted stops, program partners. Fee-based.

Long Distance [LD]: Half day, Full day, or Multi-day walking experiences. Fee-based.
Walking Movement Leaders [WML]: Walking Movement Leader Training and events.
