Walk Description: In partnership with the Northeast Transportation Connections, we will walk from Montbello’s Central Park to Stapleton’s Central Park (Stapleton Transit Center) for a one-way amble from neighborhood to neighborhood. Leaving Montebello’s biggest park, walking along redeveloped Peoria, and dropping on to the Sand Creek Greenway, we’ll connect with each other on this Tax Day. We’ll picnic in Stapleton’s Central Park then grab bus 42 to get us back to Montbello. Be sure to have exact bus fare ($2.40 one way for adults, discount price for seniors.)
Walking Movement Leaders: Pam Jiner, GirlTrek leader and Chris Englert, Walk2Connect Member-Owner, will lead this walk through their neighborhoods.
We walk in all weather, but we don’t go in ice. You are welcome to text or call Chris (303-507-7280) to confirm the walk is going.
Meeting Location, Parking, and Planning: We will meet at 8:45 at the NW Corner of Montbello’s Central Park and leave no later than 9:05. The address of the house closest to the park is 14055 Andrews Blvd., 80239 for those of you using GPS to get there. Do not park in the house’s driveway, rather park along the street. We will then walk the +5 miles to Stapleton’s Central Park, enjoy a picnic, and then walk a bit further to the Stapleton Transit Center to catch bus 42 back to Montbello.
