Walk Description: Join us on Sundays throughout the Summer for Weekends on the Rio for a community walk great for all ages. The walk will meet and end near the stage at Cole Park. This will be a slower paced nature walk along the Rio Grande and will give you a chance to connect with new people and the outdoors.
Feel free to bring the kids and your dog (no retractable leashes, please).
What to Expect: This will be a (roughly) 2-3 mile nature walk. We should get back to our starting location no later than 5:30 PM to respect everyone’s schedule.
– Comfortable socks & shoes
– Light backpack to carry water, binoculars, camera, snacks if desired
– Several (thinner) layers depending on anticipated temperature
Dogs are welcome! Please make sure that they are well behaved and on a 6ft leash or less. No retractable leashes, please.
