Walk Description: Let’s stroll through an area home to many cultures and nationalities.This walk is centered around the residents of the Aromor Apartments, a Mercy Housing Corporation property, although anyone is invited to walk. Be prepared to encounter something new and enlightening.
Walking Movement Leader: My name is Manley Daniel. I’m a Health Care Navigator for Mercy Housing Corporation. Health and wellness activities comprise a big part of my job at three of Mercys properties in Denver. I also lead a Tuesday walk around New Freedom Park.
What to Expect: We’ll start out front of 1309 Grant Street with a brief description of the neighborhood and introductions of participants at 11:00 am. We should leave no later than 11:10am. Please come patient as this walk draws from a variety of living communities from different cultures. Please allow for some extra time. No set route for this walk is established but will explore the Capitol Hill area.We will do our best to return by noon.
-Bring seasonal gear for the weather and cameras.
-Dogs are okay on this walk as long as they are well behaved and on a short leash.
-Kids OK if accompanied by adult.
-Restrooms are nearby in apartment complexes, none at park or on way.
-Cancellation Policy: We’ll walk rain or shine. If in doubt about weather check call me directly 720-839-0120.
Welcome Waivers: If you have not completed a Welcome Waiver this year please fill out the online Welcome Waiver or download, print, sign, and bring the waiver with you to the walk. You only need to complete one Welcome Waiver per year.
