Our Walking Movement is 100% volunteer driven which allows us to continue to grow at a natural pace and organically. Also, we must remember that we design each opportunity so they can be easily moved in and out of as your life moves up and down. We trust you are giving from a place of love for the movement, the people, and yourself and we thank you for all of that.

Walking Movement Leader Coordinator: This is a position that keeps our systems connected and moving. It’s mostly behind the scenes with extreme importance as this position and person is the oil & technician that keeps the machine moving. This person will check-in weekly with Team Captains with reminders & updates, keep our growing database of WML’s up-to-date, process all new WML’s from around the movement, assist with our online tools, and keep a listening ear for things the movement needs and fix things when they need fixing. With time this person will help foster opportunities for peer-to-peer connections and further training. They also oversee any of the WML volunteers. This position will work directly with one of our Professional Members to ensure connection to the overrall vision and communicate the needs of our WML’s to HQ.  At the moment their is a small monthly financial stipend for this position.

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a week, for at least 6-12 months

Location: Mostly remote/home, some meetings at Greenspaces in 5 Points, Denver on Wednesday’s from 10-1; walks and meetings around Denver Metro as needed.

Regional Team Captain: Is rooted in relationship building at the highest level. Team Captains are the glue that connect Walk Leaders to the broader community. They, approve the route with new leaders in their area, approve new walks and update the walks in their region on the W2C site, collect data, waivers, and sign-in’s and reporting back to W2C, hold a regional quarterly walk or gathering w/ WML’s in area, are in communication w/ W2C about needs & opportunities that stem from connections in their region. They have an eye for detail while still very much seeing the broader vision. 

Time Commitment: 5 hours a week

Location: Mostly remote/home, some walks around local region, 1-2 meetings in Denver a quarter.

Team Coordinator: This person helps the Regional Team Captain with things like social media, storytelling, filling in when Team Captains are on vacation and generally helping to make the team cohesive, supportive and connected. 

Time Commitment: 2 hours a week

Location: Mostly remote/home, some walks around local region.

Skills: Social Media, Google Docs, Self-Directed, Team Oriented, Brilliant Communicator

Data Coordinator: This person will take a look at our walking data (miles & people) and create monthly and yearly story to be told through the numbers. If they have graphic design skills they will create visual representations (infographics) of our walking story otherwise they will forward this data onto our graphic design volunteer. This person is as much a storyteller as they are a numbers guru. 
Time Commitment
: 2-5 hours a month

Location: Remote/Home

Skills: Google Sheets/Excel, Self-Directed (design skills in Publisher highly encouraged)

Walk Angels: On call to assist with long distance walks, older adult and ability walks with possible car pick up, swarm brand new walks with walkers, generally spread random acts of kindness through the ecosystem.

Time Commitment: as needed, by notification

Location: Wherever Walks Take Place

Graphic Designer: Development and creation of online and print materials to promote walking events, whole-health walking movement, and the Walk2Connect Cooperative (ie services, professional members, cooperative culture/ethos).  Types of online materials would include banners, flyers, and graphics. Types of print materials would include quarter/half-sheet engagement cards, flyers, and brochures.

Time Commitment: as needed

Location: Remote/Home
